Awersome saw, would buy another one anyday
By Matthew Thomas on September 26, 2015
I bought this saw new, and love it. I have used this to cut down 3 large trees, and cut all of that wood up into 15″ pieces. This saw has never taken more than 4 pulls to start. Usually takes 1-2 when it’s hot. I don’t know why anyone would have to wait to start it when it’s hot. But that has NEVER been an issue for me. My recommendation as an expert small engine mechanic is to run 40:1 gas in it, with another half of a (3.2oz) container of oil (4.8 oz total) for the first 1 gallon of gas. This will help your saw break in the cylinder slower. Also, buy a splined carburetor adjustment tool ($8 on amazon) and watch YouTube videos on how to adjust a chainsaw carb. Poulan pro sometimes sets these carbs too lean. Which cam burn out the engine. So on top of that, take off the muffler before you even put gas in it, and check to make sure the cylinder isn’t scored. And then take a dated picture in case you ever have an issue that amazon cannot prove. If you know how to maintain a 2 stroke, this is am awesome saw. This saw is made by Husqvarna, and most of the internal parts are a direct reference to Husqvarna parts. People say these are junk saws, but if you adjust the carb, and rake care of them, they will be very good to you

Looks and runs like a brand new one. Love it! Took down and cut up two fairly large trees today and I am worn out but the saw is still asking for more. This saw is significantly heavier than a 3516 but the extra weight makes cutting easier.
Chainsaw itself (Engine and functions) are great, pretty powerful for its size
By SEAN E. on October 12, 2015
Not packaged well, or prepped for shipping well. There was bar oil left in the reservoir, that spilled all throughout the box in transit. Chainsaw itself (Engine and functions) are great, pretty powerful for its size. Bar was well used and worn. Emblem and Poulan logo name just about written right off and beat up. Otherwise this thing chews right through wood, like a Beaver on Steroids and Espresso…
