What’s in the Box
Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket handset, rechargeable battery, charger, USB cable, wired stereo headset, quick start guide
AT&T’s 4G LTE network allows for quicker access, smoother media streaming, and faster web experiences. LTE technology is capable of delivering mobile broadband speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G. Additionally, LTE technology offers a faster response time due to lower latency–the processing time it takes to move data through a network–vastly speeding download times for web pages as well as improving services such as mobile gaming and two-way video calling.
By the end of 2011, AT&T plans to launch its 4G LTE network in 15 major metropolitan areas, covering at least 70 million Americans. Coverage will continue to expand in the next few years and is planned to be largely complete by the end of 2013.
Packed with fun and productivity (view larger).
And when combined with 4G HSPA+ technology, AT&T is capable of delivering a quicker, more consistent mobile broadband experience than ever before. AT&T has deployed HSPA+ to virtually 100 percent of its mobile broadband network, which enables 4G speeds when combined with enhanced backhaul (via Ethernet or fiber). Backhaul is one of the major pieces of a telecommunications network. Think of it as the limbs connecting AT&T’s cell towers with AT&T’s backbone network that provides access to the Internet.
Reviews.
These are decent phones. I have owned several. When they work like they should, they do a great job, but I have had a lot of problems with these used ones. It’s a hit or miss thing. You might get a good one or you might get a bad one. But even if you do get a good one, there is still some limitations. First they come with a boat load of crap ware from the manufacturer and AT&T that makes the phone sluggish right out of the box. Of course, they won’t let you uninstall any of it, but you can disable most of it. So you have to spend an hour or two disabling the 30 plus apps that you do not need or want. Then the phone works pretty good after that, and you have a little room to install some apps that you actually want, but not a whole bunch. If you install too many apps, the phone goes back to being sluggish again and gets to the point where it is barley usable. Then you have to go back and disable and uninstall anything you absolutely do not need. This is true of just about any android phone because of androids horrid memory management, but it is much more of a problem on these older phones with lower resorces.
I rarely make expensive purchases on amazon for used products because I am always weary about the condition the product will be in when it arrives at my door. Since I was reluctant to buy a new phone because they ridiculously expensive, I had no choice to go used with a Galaxy S II. This product more than exceeded my expectations.
It’s been a few months and my phone has held up great. Rooted with a custom ROM and works beautifully. Did have some scratching but this was in the description. Came with new back piece, battery and screen protector already applied.
Works great, lighting fast great battery life and with android 4.1.2 jelly bean it woks wonderfully 🙂 If you don’t already own a samsung galaxy S phone then get one now!!! 🙂
I needed a new phone and didn’t want the expense of a new just released phone. I am very pleased with this phone with only a couple issues. I wanted to get the complete manual but have been unable to find one. I also had a Bluetooth issue when using in my car and I was unable to resolve.
I was pleased that the phone arrived as shown in the photo. All of the accessories were also included in the box and I’m really enjoying this phone. I will definitely work with this provider again in the future.

I had an iPhone before the Galaxy S II Skyrocket, and the Skyrocket blows the iPhone out of the water. Love this phone.

Reviews.
Just got the Majic Jack Plus 2014 a few days ago and been testing it out and so far it’s great.

I have made calls to Arizona and North Carolina and the sound quality was perfect. Had NC call me back to see if inbound calls where any different and it was still perfect sound quality.

I then tried to Fax to NC and that worked fine also.

Now I plugged my MJ into the outlet NOT the PC. When I plugged into the router I did not have to mess with setting up ports at all for my system (yours might be different). Also I have very fast Internet speeds of between 30k and 50k Mbps, presently I am at 40k Mbps. Internet Speed is very important with MJ as if you have a dial up or a slow connection you will likely have problems.

It’s only been a few days but so far so good. I will update this later on if able to keep you informed on how it’s going.

Oh one thing to note, I just started porting my home phone number to MJ and you can make Outbound Calls while the number is being ported, but you CANNOT receive Inbound Calls till the port is complete which can take 5-10 days they say. Not a big deal for me, but I guess can be irritating for others. You can however still get Voicemail sent to you so you do not really miss any calls.

Few other things about the pricing when signing up:

The box I bought came with 6 months free, but you still have to pick a plan.

If you only go with a year plan it will cost you $30.

I went with the 5 year plan for $100 or $20 a year and this gave me 5 years and 6 months so I am all paid up till 6/2019 as it shows on my MJ account page.

Also there is a charge if you want 911 service for me it was only $6 a year, but on the website they say it can cost $6 to $60 a year depending on where you live. I did not do it cause you can call the police and ask what the 10 digit number is to get 911 operators and just program that into your phone for one touch dialing and save this fee.

And there is a $10 fee a year for having a number ported over to use with MJ.

They also have international calling plans that seem okay, I do not call overseas so that did not concern me.

MJ does have Voicemail service that will send the .wav file to your email address and that seems to work fine. It does work as your number is being ported over cause you can not receive inbound calls but you do get the voicemails. Course if you have a answering machine you can disable this on the account page.

I’m reading the reviews for the newest Magicjack and wondering if I possibly received a couple of the few goods ones produced? I have been a Magicjack customer for a few years and have been satisfied with the services provided, particularly considering the cost of usage. The original Magicjack isn’t anything special, but it has performed for me well over the years. My only concern was problems with faxing. Occasionally there will be a brief quality of sound drop. And now and then an incoming call will catch the darn thing sleeping ( All my friends know to call back if they get the auto attendant.
I recently had to replace a couple of my devices, do to a power surge that wiped out my router, and the devices. I received one 2014 Magicjack Plus, and one of the older model Pluses (Magicjack was selling them for $29.95). Both are functioning beautifully. No problems with them at all.
I really cannot understand the concerns of the people writing the negative reviews.
I had Vonage for a few years. I keep it until I was satisfied that Magicjack was a reliable replacement. I now have three Magicjacks (2 Pluses, and old reliable).
My mother just moved, so I purchased her a Magicjack Plus and a few years of service for under $200.00. She was able to keep the phone number she has had for twenty-five years, even though she was moving to another state. Nice!
The bottom line is that my various Magicjack products have given me more bang for the buck then any other item in any other category that I have ever purchased in my life.
I didn’t give a 5 star rating because I am not fond of the chat only tech support. That said each time I have had to use tech support I have been helped with my problems. It may however take a bit of patience before the solution finds me.

Reviews.
After a massive lightning strike that sent me and my next door neighbor scrambling to replace everything from televisions to appliances I had to make a decision about phone selection. After Nigel the cable guy got me fixed up and Mike the phone guy assured me that my phones would work (they didn’t) I started checking out cordless phone sets on Amazon. I knew I’d that once I made my selection, the order would be processed quickly and I’d have my phones in good order and I did.
I selected this Vtech 2 handset cordless phone set because it met all my needs. Within ten minutes I had both phones up and running. There was enough charge to make calls immediately and, surprisingly, the date and time functions were already in place. A quick check and everything was in order, including the caller ID. I phoned out and ask someone to call me so I could check this feature. Oh, and one of the best features was that the price was right. Had I gone to the place where I’ve purchased phones in the past I would have paid double.
I wish V-Tech would still put in the capability of having a battery in the base unit so that the phone can be used during power failures as some of their old models did. Other than that, this is a fine cordless telephone.
Sound quality is far superior to the Panasonic that it replaced, both on the receiving and sending ends. It is easy to use, easy to program, has great battery life, and is nice to hold.
My old V-Tech (that we still use for another set of phone lines in the house) is still flying high after at least seven years (I cannot even remember when I bought it), and I expect this one to last a long time too.

Reviews.
I’ve had many Panasonic phones over the past 30 years. It is the only brand I trust for quality and customer service. The last one I had was KX-TGA402. There was no back light and it didn’t have a speaker ID. I could never see the caller ID when I was on the phone with some one else. After a few years it stopped ringing in one room and I didn’t want to purchase a range extender which Panasonic does sell. The back/lit panel is the largest and brightest I’ve ever had. About 1.8 inches by 1 1/4. Even with the light off you can read the date and time very easily. The key pad has larger than usual easy to press buttons. So easy to set up, it really is a breeze. It takes 7 hours to charge but I received a phone call within 30 minutes of setting it up. The phone book and everything else is set on all 4 phones with just one entry. The answering machine is loud and clear and so is the caller ID when the phone rings… The manual spells everything out very easily and clearly.. I did have one question about entering my greeting. Customer service answered quickly and was most courteous and helpful. My husband has a hearing problem but he has no problem with this phone either listening or hearing the phone ring.. The volume control is on the side which is very convenient compared to pushing a button to see the bars expand while you’re talking. I checked Panasonic online before I purchased this. It was the only Dect 6 Plus that said NEW so I assumed it would be the most advanced. Amazon was also about $11 less than the retail price. Another helpful feature is that there is message counter lit in bright red so when the phone is off you can always see how many messages are stored. Another plus is that when you have a Voice Mail message there is a 1 1/8 inch bar on the top of the receiver that flashes on and off (the indicator light). You can’t miss it. There will be a lit message on the display that you have Voice Mail waiting for you.. If you have entered your VM phone # in your phone book just click under VM and Voice Mail will automatically be dialed for you. This light also flashes on and off for an answering machine message. I’ve never seen this feature on another pnone before– if you are in another room other than the base you can listen to your answering machine messages on any handset in any room!!! I am so happy with this phone. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
I am adding this information a few days after installation, as it is not included in the instruction booklet on page 32 as it should be. If you subscribe to Caller ID this is important to know. When you refer to caller list – the name, date and time appear but not the caller’s phone number. This is the first Panasonic phone I’ve had where there was no number. I called Panasonic and they told me to press the right arrow on the Navigator key which is the large black button with the 4 arrows. The phone number will immediately appear. If you press the left arrow the caller list appears but without the phone #. I hope this is of help.
August 29,2012 update. I’m still extremely happy with this phone, more so than ever.
UPDATE: MAY 21 One of my handsets stopped ringing. I called Panasonic at 1 800 211 7262. The rep courteously walked me thru the repair. Click on menu and then pound #. Press in 160 and it said volume OFF. I used the up arrow and made the ringer as loud as possible and then pressed SAVE! I just saved alot of money as I thought was going to have to purchase a new handset.
I just purchased the Panasonic KX-TG4745B for my elderly parents. I hooked this system up in my home first, to test it out, prior to setting it up in my parent’s home. I have been using another Panasonic system for about a year (the KX-TG6645B) which is still available and still listed on Panasonic’s web site. In fact, I liked my older 6645B so much, I purchased a second system for my sister. So, with the purchase of this model, I have inadvertently created a hands on test of this year’s Panasonic KX-TG4745B and my slightly older Panasonic KX-TG6645B (first introduced as a 2011 model yet still sold as a 2012 model).

All of these Panasonic cordless phone systems are near flawless.

Great voice quality, a near endless array of features, and great range.

So what are the differences between the KX-TG4745B (new for 2012) and my slightly older KX-TG6645B (first introduced in 2011 yet still listed as a 2012 model)

Not much, yet a few important differences did emerge.

The newer model (4745B) has MUCH LARGER KEYS. A definite plus for everyone but particularly useful to the elderly or those with impaired eyesight. I think these larger keys would be welcomed by all. The Actual Number of Keys and their FUNCTION is the SAME on both models, they are just much larger on the 4745B.

The newer model (4745B) is certainly louder – and it has a dedicated rocker switch built into the side of the handset to adjust volume. One of my minor complaints about the older 6645B was that it was just adequate in volume, even at its very highest settings, and you had to press a menu key to increase the volume (see my review of that model). Once again, the newer 4745B is better. It is clearly louder and the volume adjustment is far more intuitive as well as easier because of a dedicated rocker switch on the side of the handset.

The display on the older 6645B is slightly larger and a little bit better. However the text is huge on both models and both displays are quite clear. Even with poor eyesight, the displays on both models are near perfect. But as I look at both models, side by side, I’d have to say I prefer the older model (6645B) by a very small margin but I would not let that influence my purchasing decision. The differences are very minor and the text is huge on both.

Range – it appears to be about equal on both models. I actually did a walking test outside my house switching between both models. In general, the range is amazing. While all my older cordless phones stopped working just outside of my garage door, both Panasonics work about 100 feet or more from the base unit and far beyond my garage door. Amazing! Note as you get maybe 100 feet from the base unit you might hear some hiss. Within my large home the connection is perfect – completely absent of any hiss or any other audio anomalies but outside – if you are really far from the base unit, some hiss is present.

The older model (6645B) can power the base unit in the event of a power outage – the newer model cannot. I would not view that as a major advantage for the 6645B since you only have a few hours of use before the batteries are depleted and depending on who provides your phone service – the basic phone service may not be working during a power outage, so even if your cordless phones are powered up – your basic phone service may not be on. So any advantage is likely minimal. You really should have one hard wired basic phone in your house – the cost is minimal from $10.00 to $25.00

Whatever model you choose – these Panasonics are near perfect. Great voice quality, range and near perfect displays. I’ve now purchased three sets – two as gifts

One final piece of advice: I’d strongly recommend you purchase one more handset than you think you’ll need given the low cost of an additional handset when purchasing a package. Purchasing separate handsets at a later date is much more expensive. Frankly, I’d just buy 5 handsets even if you can’t figure out where you will use them all.

The voice quality of these phones is nothing short of superb – on either model – no hiss – or other audio anomalies except at extreme ranges. Simply perfect voice quality!!! As noted – the 4745B is a bit louder and has a rocker switch on the side of the handset to adjust volume.

Cordless phones have finally been perfected! You will not be disappointed by either model of these Panasonic phones but the 4745B is the better choice given its better ergonomics and louder volume.

Both models use a newer frequency which is not shared with wireless routers, microwave ovens, older cordless phones, etc. On either model of phone I have never experienced hiss or any other type of problem unless you are at an extreme range. Within my large home, the sound quality is flawless.

One LAST Update (April 2013): Panasonic just released literature on their 2013 phones. Most of the 2013 models will NOT be available until May/June 2013. While there are a few additional features on a few select models – keep in mind – cordless phones have already matured. I love my 2011/2012 Panasonic cordless phones. Yet some newer ones offer integration with cell phones via bluetooth, if you happen to have that need. Personally I see no major benefits for 2013 except for cell phone integration

For May/June 2013 I’d recommend the KX-TG6845B – it is essentially the same phone. The last number relates to the number of handsets so a KX-TG6845B has 5 handsets, a KX-TG6844B has 4, a KX-TG6843B – 3, etc.

As I mention and try to capture in my video, this speaker has really rich, full, sound. The bass is particularly impressive, given the small size. Note that this is a multi-directional speaker, meaning that the sound spills out in all directions and upward. Some speakers are better placed against a wall, as they are uni-directional — but this one is great on a table or shelf in the middle of a space.
My only two complaints about this nice-sounding speaker are that:
1. the buttons are hard to reach, use, and read; I find myself picking up the speaker and puzzling over the buttons each time I want to forward to the next song or turn it on or off
2. the speaker is a talker, by which I mean that things like “Bluetooth mode” are announced via a recorded voice. This may just be a pet peeve, but I prefer a speaker that beeps or flashes instead of speaking.
